Southern Culture Society: Logo

The mission of the Southern Culture Society is to celebrate, promote and educate people on the cultural richness of the American South.

Champion Collection: Posters

These posters were done to promote a vintage-inspired, fashion sportswear line from Champion. HBA even convinced them to let us use the original Champion “C” logo from 1919, which ended up being used fairly prominently on the clothes. I remember driving the stylist crazy at the photoshoot, trying to get her to add wrinkles and ripples into the clothing to give me and Will more reference for drawing them later.

Hanes Beefy-T: Salem Lake Trail Run Tee

Every year Hanes sponsors a 30k and 10k race around scenic Salem Lake. Each participant is given a Beefy-T shirt, with a design that changes up each year.

LOADED Skateboards: Nunya Deck

This is the latest deck design I did for the guys at LOADED. They had seen the “Yuk Fu” tee I had done for the LFTC board and wanted something done in a similar style, but with either Jesus or a nun on the bike. And the thought of a nun on a devil bike was too much fun to pass up.

Red Kap: Logo

The original Red Kap logo was created in 1927, and hadn’t changed much since then. The red jockey cap was basically lifted from the label of a brand of tobacco the company’s founders used. So when Red Kap decided to try and take their brand of workwear to mass retail, they contacted HBA to help with a new branding program, which included updating the logo to something less illustrative.

LOADED Skateboards: Tees

Just a couple of tees the guys at LOADED wanted done to give away at parties and demos. And really, nothing says “party” like 6-shooters and pentagrams.

Music Maker: CD/DVD Packaging

These cd/dvd sets were done for Music Maker. They were offering them as a holiday gift set, and wanted to highlight the artists along with their music. The photography Joel and I had to work with was really inconsistent, so we landed on illustrating all of the performers in a similar style and giving each their own motif.

Gypsy Run 3: Logo

The Gypsy Run is an annual, weekend-long motorcycle ride through the twisty back roads of New York State. Walter, the organizer and owner of Kickstart Cycle, got in touch with me last year to help out with a tee shirt for the event. And this year he decided he wanted to do something a little more “official” for it. The only direction I got was him telling me, “It’s East Coast Motorcycle Mayhem… More miles! More bikes! More beer!”

Atomic Custom: Tee

Trent at Atomic Custom got in touch with me when he was needing some new merch for his shop. This Harley Knucklehead engine is just the first in a series I’m doing for him.
